It was my brother who first introduced me to the FIFA computer game series. Way back in the summer of 1996, we used to do battle for hours every day at our mother’s house on the Playstation when we would play FIFA 97.

What a game that was and a fluke how we came across it. As massive Newcastle United fans, it was the cover star of Toon legend David Ginola which made my brother pick up the game and ever since I’ve been an avid player of the FIFA franchise.

Having owned every release of FIFA since then, I can honestly say that FIFA 15 is by far the best I have played. As a pessimistic Newcastle United supporter, FIFA 15 is the closest I will probably come to seeing my beloved side win a trophy.

I was absolutely delighted when it was announced that St James’ Park was to be featured as a playable stadium in FIFA 15, the stadium is known throughout the world for its atmosphere and honestly, the first time experienced it, it made my hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

Two players who Newcastle could really use are featured in the brilliant FIFA 15 Christmas commercial. Lionel Messi and Eden Hazard are two of the best playmakers in world football. They certainly get in the Christmas spirit as they Chelsea and Barcelona do battle with a festive audience looking on in anticipation of who will come out on top.

FIFA 15 is certainly the title which takes pride of place on my Xbox One console, take a look at the trailer below and the gameplay will certainly have you heading to the shop to pick up your copy.
