If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes tomorrow afternoon when Newcastle arrive at the Hawthorns to take on West Brom, who would you pick in your team to take on the Baggies? How many changes would you make after last week’s horror show against Sunderland? Does Jonas Gutierrez make it into the team after being at fault twice? Leave a comment below and have your say!

Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Elliot

Debuchy Yanga-Mbiwa S.Taylor Haidara

Tiote Cabaye

Marveaux Sissoko Gouffran

Cisse

Unsurprisingly, I’d choose Massadio Haidara over Gutierrez at left-back. The youngster should have been picked last week and it would surprise everyone if Jonas continued there this week.

In fact, I’d drop Gutierrez from the side completely, with the attacking midfield trio of Sissoko, Gouffran and Marveaux supporting Papiss Cisse up front. Sissoko must be played centrally in order to be involved in the game more, while Marveaux needs to impress for a full 90 minutes away from home.

The rest of the side effectively picks itself. Yohan Cabaye must improve his form if Newcastle are to pick up some points, as he has been poor in recent weeks.
