If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes tomorrow, who would be in your starting XI to take on Spurs at White Hart Lane? Does Hatem Ben Arfa return to the starting line-up? Does Fabricio Coloccini return if he’s fit? Leave a comment below and have your say!

Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Debuchy Williamson Yanga-Mbiwa Santon

Cabaye Anita

Gouffran Remy

I wouldn’t make too many changes to the side that performed so well against Chelsea last week. I’d stick with the centre-back partnership that served so well, with Coloccini on the bench ready to return fully fit in our next game. He only returned to training this week, so it’s too much of a risk to play him too soon.

The one change I’d make in midfield is Vurnon Anita in for Moussa Sissoko. Despite playing better than he has been lately against Chelsea, Anita was still excellent when he came on from the bench and played a part in Remy’s goal.

One change up front would be to restore Papiss Cisse to the team in the centre forward role. Remy plays better from the left so it makes sense to leave him there and Gouffran works hard in a defensive capacity so that warrants his place. Shola Ameobi played – and played well – against Chelsea so could be given the chance again but I’d go with Cisse and give him the chance to turn his form around.
