If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes tomorrow, who would you pick for the game against Swansea? Does Cisse start with all the Senegal controversy? Is Steven Taylor the right choice as Captain? Who drops out of midfield as Tiote returns? Leave a comment below and have your say!

Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Simpson S. Taylor Williamson Santon

Tiote Anita

Ben Arfa Cabaye Sa. Ameobi

I’d go with a 4-2-3-1 formation and give Ba a lone front man role up front. Cisse is out of form and could be banned from playing by Senegal so it seems silly to risk him anyway, and Shola Ameobi won’t be fully fit after travelling back from the USA.

Tiote and Anita operating the defensive side of midfield could give the back four good protection against the likes of Nathan Dyer and Michu, while the attacking trio above could cause problems for a potentially unstable Welsh defence. Sammy Ameobi has been promising in recent weeks and I’d give him a start in place of the injured Gutierrez.

thought are offensive play was excellent at times against brugge.
marveaux has a great first touch and vision and anita and tiote will cover up
potential defensive errors from him. sammy and ben arfa should provide
    width, balance and threat.
