If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes tomorrow, who would be in your starting XI to take on Southampton at St.Mary’s? Who starts up front? Do Newcastle change formation? Who plays at right-back? Leave a comment below and get involved, we want to hear from you!

Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Elliot

Yanga-Mbiwa – Coloccini – Williamson – Dummett

Tiote – Anita

Gouffran – Sissoko – Ben Arfa

Cisse

I’d change the formation to a 4-2-3-1, with one striker up front instead of two. That allows Moussa Sissoko to switch into the number 10 role and Ben Arfa to come in on the left. He might not be in favour at the minute but performed well against Everton when he came on and could unlock Southampton’s defence tomorrow.

Cisse starts up front ahead of de Jong, as the Senegal man isn’t playing too badly and has a good understanding with Ben Arfa. Those two could be Newcastle’s best chance of a goal.

The back four remains unchanged, with Davide Santon still missing. If the Italian is fit he could start at right-back and offer more of an attacking threat than Yanga-Mbiwa but the Frenchman’s defensive ability could be better against the likes of Jay Rodriguez and Adam Lallana.

Alright team but I'd be tempted to take Anita out for Marveaux and put haidara on instead of Dummett
