If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes tomorrow afternoon when Norwich arrive at St James’ Park, who would be in your starting XI for the game against Norwich City? Does Fabricio Coloccini come back into the side after injury? Who replaces the suspended Mathieu Debuchy at right back? Leave a comment below and have your say! Here’s what I’ve come up with: Krul Yanga-Mbiwa Williamson Coloccini Santon Sissoko Cabaye Tiote Gouffran Sh.Ameobi Remy I’d stick with the 4-4-2 formation that was instrumental in the previous victories over Chelsea and Tottenham and only make changes where they are needed. That means suspended right-back Debuchy is replaced by Coloccini, with Yanga-Mbiwa switching to the flank. Moussa Sissoko has been in poor form of late but has shown signs of becoming effective once more, so that keeps Vurnon Anita out of my side despite him playing well lately. Yohan Cabaye was referred to as “the little prince” after France’s 3-0 victory over Ukraine in midweek so another good performance from him is expected. Partnered by the equally impressive Cheick Tiote, Newcastle once again look dominant in central midfield. Both strikers are in great form of late. Remy has seven goals this season and Shola Ameobi netted for Nigeria against Italy while on international duty. Papiss Cisse remains out of form but due to Ameobi’s impressive displays, I would stick with the Geordie veteran. What do you think? Leave your comments below and have your say!
