If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes tomorrow lunchtime when Chelsea visit St James’ Park, who would you pick in your starting XI to take on the title chasers? Does Papiss Cisse keep his place in the team? Does Moussa Sissoko come back into midfield? Who plays in defence? Leave a comment below and have your say!

Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Krul

Debuchy Williamson Yanga-Mbiwa Santon

Tiote

Anita Cabaye

Ben Arfa Remy

Cisse

Tomorrow, Newcastle’s defence picks itself. Only four defenders are fit and with that being the case, the worry has to be burnout. All but Davide Santon played 120 minutes on Wednesday night so the hope is that they can pull through against the likes of Fernando Torres and Edin Hazard.

I’d like to see Vurnon Anita get the nod ahead of Moussa Sissoko again tomorrow, as the Dutchman looked tidy when he played against Man City in the week. Tiote should return to defensive midfield, with Yohan Cabaye starting alongside Anita.

Hatem Ben Arfa must return to his favoured right wing position as he looks a major threat when played wide rather than through the middle. I’d put Remy on the other wing and give Papiss Cisse another chance through the middle as the side looks more of a threat when a natural centre forward is in the attacking trio.

What do you think? Leave a comment below and have your say!

Isn't this the team Moussa scored two against? He must play – so he plays alongside Tiote, protecting the back four, Cabaye plays behind the front three. Anita warms the bench and we really do try to give Cisse some service other than balls coming down with snow on them, Timmy, you've been told! What happened to those low, penetrating kicks onto chests that you used to do so well. Not coached out of you, surely?
