If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes today, who would ypu pick for the game against Manchester United at lunchtime? Does the side need changes after going down against Swansea last time out? Who plays at left-back after Massadio Haidara came on in the second half at the Liberty? Leave a comment below and have your say!

Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Debuchy Yanga-Mbiwa Coloccini Santon

Sissoko Cabaye Tiote Gouffran

Ben Arfa

I’d make slight changes to the side that lost at Swansea, with the main one coming up front. Shola Ameobi has been playing a lot of games lately and despite impressing, will almost certainly be losing his effectivity. I’d give Hatem Ben Arfa the chance of winning back his first team place by giving him a free role in the team, based just behind Loic Remy.

The only other change I’d make is replacing Mike Williamson with Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, as Man United have no aerial threat up front with the loss of Wayne Rooney and the news that Robin Van Persie is doubtful. That means Javier Hernandez is likely to start, so a pacy opponent like Yanga-Mbiwa could be a better man to mark the Mexican.

The rest of the team stays the same, with Santon continuing at left-back ahead of Haidara.
