Yohan Cabaye - Newcastle United Football News

If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes on Sunday afternoon, who would you pick in your team for the game against QPR? Who replaces Ba? Who replaces Tiote? Does Ryan Taylor continue on the right wing or does Obertan come back in?

Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Simpson – Coloccini – Williamson – Santon

R. Taylor – Cabaye – Guthrie – Gutierrez

Ben Arfa

I’d stick with the same back five that got the points against Man United, with Taylor continuing on the right wing. Guthrie (if fit enough) should start with Cabaye in midfield with Gosling on standby should the former Liverpool midfielder not be fit enough to start.

I’d go with Shola Ameobi up front with Ben Arfa supporting, as it is our best option without 15-goal Ba. Sammy is missing for the season now, so Shola is the only Ameobi we can call upon!

Do you agree? Leave a comment below and have your say!

I'd consider having Shola and Best on and putting HBA on the right wing instead of Raylor. HBA tore Blackburn to shreds once he was shifted out there last week, gaining a good half dozen corners and of course scoring THAT goal. I agree with having Guthers if fit as he stood in for Tiote when he was out earlier in the season and did a good job. He could also cover the right wing where he's played before if HBA drifts in-field.

Thats the side i'd pick. Obertan not doing it for me (like most) at the minute. Raylors service can be first class. Also guthrie has shown he's upto the challenge in the middle, which gives him the edge over the kids. Little n large combo upfront will again give us something new, as ive been impressed with strolla so far despite been down the pecking order
