If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes when QPR come to St James’ Park tomorrow afternoon, who would be in your starting XI to take on Harry Redknapp’s men?

Who plays in defence? Which formation is best? Who gets the nod up front? Leave a comment and get involved, we want to hear your views!

Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Janmaat – Williamson – Dummett – Haidara

Sissoko – Colback – R.Taylor

Cabella – Perez – Ameobi

I’d stick with the three-pronged attack that has been central to the recent revival, with a few enforced changes.

First, I’d stick with Dummett at centre-back. He played very well against West Brom there and is the only 100% fit centre-back available. Playing Williamson with Steven Taylor could easily result in both of them breaking down before full time. Also, I’d pick Williamson over Taylor purely because he is fitter after Taylor’s recent injury.

In midfield, Mehdi Abeid’s absence leaves a hole which I’d fill in the form of Ryan Taylor. Since returning from injury, he’s been in fine form for the under 21 side and played brilliantly in the cup win over Man City. He played in midfield in that game and picking him to start against QPR would give the team an extra threat from set pieces.

Up front, Perez would continue ahead of Papiss Cisse after his beauty against West Brom, while Rolando Aarons’ injury means I’d pick Remy Cabella and Sammy Ameobi to start. Ameobi is not fit enough to complete 90 minutes which is a worry but he has a greater threat compared with Yoan Gouffran.
