If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes tomorrow lunchtime when Chelsea come to town, who would be in your starting XI to take on Chelsea? Does Remy Cabella start after his performance against Burnley? Who leads the line up front? Does Fabricio Coloccini return if he’s fully fit? Leave a comment below and have your say!

Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Elliot

Janmaat – S.Taylor – Coloccini – Dummett

Sissoko – Abeid – Colback

Cabella – Cisse – Aarons

I’d stick with a 4-3-3 formation as we now have options in midfield. I’d start Abeid ahead of Tiote on merit and use the Algerian and Colback to cover Sissoko’s attacking forays.

Coloccini returns to the back four if he’s fit enough, with the more defensively able Dummett at left-back ahead of Massadio Haidara.

Up front, I’d start Cisse as the main striker and bring Ayoze Perez off the bench in the second half. Remy Cabella must start as he looked good against Burnley and the best way to get a result against a very strong Chelsea side is to attack from the off.

With that said, I’d start Rolando Aarons on the left wing too. The fearless teenager may be given some of the rough stuff by Branislav Ivanovic but has the best chance of creating something for the likes of Cisse.

That’s my team, what’s yours? Get involved and leave a comment below and have your say!
