If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes tomorrow, who would be in your Newcastle starting XI to take on Arsenal at the Emirates? Who plays alongside Fabricio Coloccini in defence? Which formation is best? Who leads the line up front with Cisse’s ongoing knee problems? Leave a comment below and have your say! Here’s what I’ve come up with: Alnwick Janmaat – Coloccini – Dummett – Haidara Sissoko – Tiote – Colback Gouffran – Perez – Ameobi I’d stick with a 4-3-3 formation against Arsenal to provide the most threat on the counter attack, with Sammy Ameobi and Yoan Gouffran supporting Ayoze Perez. Remy Cabella won’t start after being hooked against Chelsea so Gouffran would switch to the right with Ameobi on his usual left wing position. The three in midfield are as strong as can be and give Sissoko the freedom to get forward and support the strikers. I’d pick Dummett over Williamson at centre-back for his speed. The Welshman lacks height which could be a problem against Olivier Giroud but has the speed to cover Arsenal’s wingers. That’s my team, could you do better? Leave a comment below and get involved!
