Newcastle pair Mathieu Debuchy and Moussa Sissoko were involved in France’s latest friendly game last night, as Les Blues played out a 1-1 draw with Paraguay.

Antoine Griezmann – who will face Newcastle when his Real Sociedad side play the Magpies in a pre-season friendly – opened the scoring for Didier Deschamps’ men but a last minute goal from Victor Caceres rescued a point for the South Americans.

Debuchy was an unused substitute for France having played 90 minutes against Norway earlier in the week, while Sissoko came on for the last 18 minutes.

Former Newcastle players Loic Remy and Yohan Cabaye started the match for the 1998 World Cup winners, who begin their latest attempt to repeat the feat against Honduras on June 15.
