Newcastle defender Davide Santon is again being linked with a move back to Italy, with Roma the latest rumoured suitors for the former Inter Milan man. The 23-year-old has been a regular name in the gossip columns since joining Newcastle back in 2011, as numerous Serie A clubs try and tempt the full-back into returning to his homeland. Roma manager Rudi Garcia has also been rumoured to be interested in Mathieu Debuchy, as the former Lille manager eyes a reunion with the Frenchman whom he managed in France. The Italian side are expected to have a busy summer as they attempt to build a squad capable of challenging in the Champions League, as they return to the competition for the first time in over five years. However, persuading Santon to move back to Europe would have its complications, with the left-back reportedly happy with life on Tyneside. He has settled down with his Geordie girlfriend and seems determined to fulfil his potential, amid a testing time where he has lost his regular starting place in the Newcastle team.
