Newcastle United midfielder Jonas Gutierrez has been discharged from hospital in Argentina and been given the all clear for cancer. The 31-year-old was diagnosed with the testicular form of the disease earlier this year and has been absent from Newcastle ever since. However, the former Mallorca winger tweeted earlier this evening that he has been released from hospital with the best possible news and can now start concentrating on making a return for Newcastle. The winger has seven months remaining on his contract at St James’ Park. It is the perfect news to round off a fantastic week for the Magpies, who recorded wins over Spurs, Man City and Liverpool and moved up to 11th in the Premier League.
