Newcastle United full-back Ryan Taylor is heading for the United States for career-saving surgery. We all felt for Taylor when he suffered a second anterior cruciate ligament injury of the season. Taylor had worked so hard to get back to fitness after picking up the first injury, only to be dealt the blow with having to start all over again. He will undergo surgery with the renowned knee specialist Dr Richard Steadman in Denver who is regarded as the best in the world. He tweeted: “All ready for my long flight to Denver tomorrow. “Loads asking am I going to see Dr Steadman? I sure am. I’m over to have my ACL repaired again. Then the recovery begins to get back.” He is likely to miss most, if not all, of the 2013-14 season. Good luck Ryan!
