It will be a strong test today against a Chelsea side who have started the campaign with all guns blazing. Eden Hazard is looking world class and will surely be the biggest threat to Newcastle. Both teams played during mid week so this will also have say on the outcome however Newcastle having travelled to Greece as opposed to Chelsea’s 4-2 home win.

A mention has to go to Adam Campbell who this week became Newcastle’s youngest ever European player at 17 years old. He looks a fantastic talent and further heightens the joy of being a Newcastle supporter at the moment. An amazing U21 side shows signs of what huge potential we have at the club. 9/11 of them look like future first team regulars. I haven’t felt like that about our youth in my life, something that I have always looked to encourage during my time on Football Managements sims.

With 9 changes during the mid week game it looks set that we will line up with our strongest side. I can’t see any of our players wanting to sit out through niggles here, an extra days rest in training this week will also do no harm to those who sat out from the travelling.

Another win and I will be dreaming however I can’t see us stopping a team thriving off such creativity. Hazard, Lampard and Mata will certainly give Tiote the run-a-round. Here’s hoping that Torres wears those shooting boots he had last season.

Potential team line up:

T. Krul, D.Simpson, D.Santon, S. Taylor, F. Coloccini (C), H. Ben Arfa, J. Gutierrez, C. Tiote, Y. Cabaye, P. Cisse, D.Ba

Score prediction:

Chelsea 2 Newcastle 0
