20-year-old midfielder Medhi Abeid, enters his second season at St James’ Park with two pre-season goals and not yet gaining a first team appearance in Alan Pardew’s side.  Abeid hit a 30-yard screamer past Gateshead keeper in the closing game of Newcastle’s pre-season. Abeid featured on the bench for most of the final games last season.

The Algerian international joined Newcastle from Lens in 2011 after making many appearances for French and Algeria youth sides.   Abeid was signed as a prospect for the future and after a season on the bench and featuring for the reserves is it time for Abeid to leave the club on loan?

Many fans including myself guessed that Abeid would start or at least feature in Newcastle’s European games against Atromitos but with no sign of injury he looks to be leaving the club for a season to a German side once the loan window opens.

Abeid has now dropped down the pecking order after the signing of Vernun Anita he must be Pardews …………choice midfielder after  Tiote, Cabaye, Anita, Bigirimana, Gosling and Amalfitano Abeid may have to leave to gain first team experience.

Loan deals may also be offered to James Tavernier, Rob Elliot, Haris Vuckic, Sammy Ameobi, Xisco and Nile Ranger.
