Newcastle continue their quest for their first Premier League win of the season tomorrow, when they make the long trip to Wales to take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. Huge pressure remains on Alan Pardew and the Magpies boss has hinted that he will change his team to try and get a much-needed win. Spanish striker Ayoze Perez may get his first start since joining from Tenerife in the summer. The 21-year-old scored four goals in 45 minutes in a training ground friendly against Carlisle earlier this week. The glut included a stunning individual effort which seen Perez beat at least four Carlisle defenders before scoring in the 8-0 win. Gabriel Obertan may also start after coming off the bench against Stoke last Monday, while Papiss Cisse could make his first start since returning from injury. Davide Santon, Siem de Jong, Rolando Aarons and Adam Campbell are all injured, while Ryan Taylor will miss out again. The former Wigan defender played in the friendly game against Carlisle earlier this week but a first-team return is still some weeks away. Garry Monk’s side currently sit fifth in the league after an impressive start to the season but haven’t won in their last three games. Right-back Angel Rangel will miss out through suspension after being shown two yellow cards last week, so Jazz Richards may deputise in defence. Monk will have to make the decision between starting either Wilfried Bony or Bafetimbi Gomis up front. Neither man has scored in the league this season. A win for Newcastle may take them out of the relegation zone and earn Pardew a slight reprieve from his troubles. Another defeat will see the toxic atmosphere once again rear its head and the pressure increase even more on the former West Ham boss.
