Newcastle United striker Adam Campbell has joined League Two side Hartlepool United on a one-month loan.

The 19-year-old will link up once again with Willie Donachie – the former Newcastle reserve team manager who is now assistant manager at Victoria Park.

It is another chance to get some much-needed first-team football for Campbell, who spent a month on loan at Fleetwood Town earlier this season but found his route into the first team blocked by other players.

Campbell turns 20 on New Year’s Day and has made five senior substitute appearances in his Newcastle career to date.
