If you were in Alan Pardew’s shoes tomorrow afternoon when West Ham visit, who would be in your starting line-up for the game against the Hammers? Who replaces the suspended Steven Taylor? Who takes the place of Yohan Cabaye? Who supports Papiss Cisse up front? Leave a comment below and have your say!

Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Debuchy Yanga-Mbiwa Coloccini Dummett

Ben Arfa Anita Sissoko Gouffran

Sh. Ameobi Cisse

I’d go with the 4-4-2 against West Ham, with Shola Ameobi playing up front with Papiss Cisse. Shola has been in good form in pre-season and also gives the attack some much needed height.

Another option for the second forward role would be Yoan Gouffran, but a lack of options out wide would convince me to play him from the left wing and use Ameobi’s physical presence up front. Sylvain Marveaux could also play there but I’d choose Gouffran for his added goal threat.

Steven Taylor’s suspension means Yanga-Mbiwa will play at centre-back with Fabricio Coloccini, leaving a hole at left-back. I’d start Paul Dummett there as he performed well against Jesus Navas on Monday night, although another option could be Yanga-Mbiwa with Mike Wiliamson at centre-back.

There are certainly options for Alan Pardew tomorrow afternoon, but what would you do? Leave a comment below and have your say!

I have looked through hundreds of online threads since Monday looking at potential starting line ups v West Ham and all of them seem pretty similar in terms of personnel and formation. I'd like to see Marveaux involved in the XI though and a much more structured 4-3-3 rather than 4-5-1 which leaves Cisse isolated – though not his conventional position, playing Marveaux with a little bit of a magical touch in the centre of a 3 midfield (a la Cabaye) with a front 3 prong of Gouffran left, HBA right and Cisse up top. Games against WBA at the Hawthorns, Swanseaat the Liberty, Chealsea at Stamford Bridge, Stoke at the Britannia and against Liverpool at home in the 2011-12 season were master class games – we played amazing attacking football and got some great goals in those games! Not a massive amount of overall difference in players available but we just don't seem to have the confidence to push and attack at the moment!

This team without doubt would dominate west ham!

Cisse is always offside so push him further back and

Make him work harder from midfield and marveaux can produce

Some outstanding passes through to shola who without doubt deserves

His chance to be in the team!

My 11 alot more attacking and ├žisse wont be alienated with goofy to link the midfield

play Oberton up front with Cisse, he cant cross a ball so why play him out wide, he gets lost trying to defend, but he can certainly move and hit a ball, so why not put him up front and let him loose, after all supermac started as a fullback.
