Sam Allardyce returned to the Reebok Stadium on Saturday and took all three points after his Newcastle United side beat Bolton Wanderers 3-1.

Allardyce hits back at West Ham over Dyer deal

Newcastle- Sam AllardyceNewcastle United boss Sam Allardyce has called upon West Ham United to increase their bid for Kieron Dyer.

The England international had agreed personal terms and passed a medical at Upton Park after both clubs were said to have agreed a fee, only for Newcastle to pull out at the last minute.

Allardyce is also unhappy with Alan Curbishley’s quotes about the situation.

Dyer deal to West Ham collapses

Newcastle - Kieron DyerKieron Dyer’s move to West Ham United has fallen through after Newcastle United pulled the plug on the deal.

Dyer was set to complete his switch to Upton Park after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical, only for Sam Allardyce to cancel the transfer.

Alan Smith completes Newcastle move

Man Utd - Alan SmithAlan Smith has joined Newcastle United on a five year deal.

The England international moves to St James’ Park from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee, which is said to be in the region of £6milliom.

Middlesbrough were also keen on Smith, but he opted to move to the bigger club in Newcastle in order to gain regular first-team football.

Claudio Cacapa in Newcastle talks

Newcastle- Sam AllardyceNewcastle United are in talks with former Lyon skipper Claudio Cacapa.

Many Toon fans have been crying out for Sam Allardyce to strengthen his defence, and he has been holding talks over the past few days with the Brazilian defender.

Cacapa left French champions Lyon at the end of last season after refusing to sign a new deal.

The Nigerian international striker has revealed that he is currently in talks with the new contract said to not include any release-clauses, like his current deal

Martins has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, but the 22-year-old is only focused on scoring goals for the Toon.
