Liverpool have slapped a £20million price tag on lanky striker Peter Crouch to warn off interest from Manchester City, Newcastle and Aston Villa.

Rafa Benitez wants to rotate Crouch with Fernando Torres, Ryan Babel or Andriy Voronin this season. The England international has been offered a new deal, but is reluctant to sign until he sees how he fits into Rafa’s plans.

With Spurs spending £16million on Darren Bent, Benitez feels that Crouch is worth £20million due to his international experience and proven track record in the Premiership.
