Why we’re right to ban the vuvuzela

Newcastle United have become the latest club to ban the vuvuzela from their stadium.
Rightly so in our opinion, St James’ Park has always had a fantastic atmosphere generated by ourselves - unlike some other grounds in the country who have to rely on that shite ‘dur dur dur’ music after they score. We actually get behind the lads for the full 90 minutes.
The vuvuzela ruined the World Cup from the armchair, and we don’t want the matchday experience at our stadium to follow. Hats off to the powers who be at the club.
We pay good money to go and support the lads, the last thing you want is some teenager blasting a vuvuzela from the seat behind, especially with a hangover. At least in the modern age, we don’t have to worry about this new addition to the game.
Eight clubs to date have banned the vuvuzela, while the likes of Blackpool have allowed it - they probably think it’s a South American striker who’ll keep them in the Premier League.
A statement on the Magpies’ website said: “The club’s position, aside from them being an item not permitted according to ground regulations, is that the vast majority of fans do not wish them to be heard within the ground.”

Great news, any real football fan would agree
I hoped for this statement and I am happy. The Vuvuz….has nothing to do in the Prem.
Brilliant!
We don't need that dreadful noise. We have the "singing corner" which would be drowned out completely. Never had much to say in Mike Ashley's favour, but if it's his decision, Thanks.

I don’t know how you are saying “brilliant” I was at the world cup and being at a match with vuvuzelas is different then hearing them through your telly the atmosphere is much better, I had a season ticket at Newcastle last season the atmosphere was far from brilliant it was quite dead to be honest, we could of at least tried them for one game
jamie you are a tool
Anyone suppporting these moronic "instruments" of torture thoroughly deserves to be called a TOOL.
Jamie your an idiot i was at Whitley bay vs glosop and one of there fans had one and all i can say is i could have stuck it where the sun dont shine it was ridiculous and deafening having it anywhere near you.
I think that certain countries have there own unique sound, Southafrica has the vuvuzela, South America have the drums and England have all that singing, it just doesnt suit the Premiership.
pleased they are banned but we need to do more to improve our atmosphere which has become quite stal over thwe last few years. The noise and constant singing of yesteryear has become a mumur and chatting just like most other grounds. We are one of the few grounds though that have a chance to stop that and create a better atmosphere on all games nit just big games or after some wrongdoing.
lets get behind the lads better this year !
Vuvs should be INSERTED into the idiots that bought them
